Film and media
Film and media paths are decided by what has been made: shorts, edits, channels, documentaries — finished and shown. The phone in the house is a sufficient camera; the differentiator is finishing, and then finishing better. Festivals and competitions for young filmmakers exist everywhere and go strangely under-entered.
How old is your child?
Craft begins: sound, light, cutting. Three-to-five-minute pieces with intention. First festival or competition entry — young categories are far less crowded than families assume.
What most families do instead.
Families buy equipment instead of enforcing finishing, producing a cupboard of cameras and no completed films. The other failure is film-as-consumption — encyclopedic knowledge of cinema and nothing made.
What the record looks like after two years on this path.
- Six to ten finished pieces, lengths increasing, dated
- Two festival or competition entries, results kept
- A showreel cut from the record, updated yearly
- Evidence of crewing for someone else, because sets are teams
Finishing, enforced kindly
Cora runs each film as a project with an end date, and the record keeps every finished piece.

What to do this month.
- 1
One-minute film, this month, finished and uploaded to the record.

Sign up and the first conversation already knows the direction. The plan Cora builds is aimed at it from day one.
A path your child has not chosen will not survive the work. We build toward the direction you have in mind by getting your child genuinely interested in it — that is not a softer version of the goal, it is the only version that arrives.
And if they change direction at sixteen, the record survives it. Finishing things, building things, working with people — the evidence transfers.
